I had a very disappointing experience with Dr Joseph. I initially reached out for help with medication management. During our initial consultation, Dr Joseph recommended talk therapy as part of our approach. I returned the following week for my first full session. The first red flag arose when I learned that he had not reviewed (or even printed out) the 100+ question survey that he had asked me to complete ahead of the session. Within the first few minutes of our session, we had a disagreement about his classification of how I had described a particular aspect of my childhood. Rather than simply accepting that he had misunderstood me, he proceeded to lecture me on why my efforts to correct him was actually a manifestation of the very issues that we needed to work on in therapy. I found this to be quite rude and unbecoming of a therapist in their first session with a new client. I then asked him about how he planned to integrate medication management into our work together (this was the purpose of my initial outreach). He dismissed this immediately and said “your medications are fine.” At this point I was quite uncomfortable, and vocalized this to him. He agreed, and we ended the session immediately. I’m adding back a star because: 1) He refunded me for this session. 2) His receptionist was very friendly and helpful

I came to this practice while visiting Barcelona from the US, and had a need for RX refill. I was able to get a same-day appointment within a few hours. The gentleman at the reception was awesome, paperwork was completed in no time, and I was able to see Dr. Joseph very quickly. Dr. Joseph was courteous and attentive to my concerns.
